They don't generally wear out but they do get clogged.

The inner collar where the flex fits can come adrift and the cradle can wear the body if it's run very loose.

The spring holes can be rewelded and drilled again.

It always amazes me that the TKM exhaust which is well made of good quality steel is so much cheaper than the Rotax one which is made from old Lancias.
