In many ways this forum itself is a driver's and interested party's voice; alas doesn't have inbuilt mechanisms as a collective voice to raise issue to karting clubs, regulatory bodies, manufacturers and acedemia.
I concur that a "driver's" voice is needed and the base concept of the KRDA is good, but KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principles should apply.
Not saying there aren't numerous issues across many classes, perhaps the first phase of the KRDA should just apply to ...Cadet drivers & their parents... . After this group has stabilised and shown to be working the karting class representation can grow.
Initial limitation to ...Cadet drivers & their parents... will provide a taster for who & what the KRDA should be representing.
One clear early decision to be made is what is the purpose of the KRDA ?. There are many organisations, clubs, groups etc which are promoting karting to grow the sport; is this an aim of the KRDA, or is it just to be a voice of protest ?.
Should the KRDA just start out as a lobby group ?.
