Yes, a very good idea. Im in, here we go:
1. Do you want a Drivers Assocation? Yes, it works well in other sports.
2. What would you expect your Association to do for you?
Help highlight issues to and channel info from the MSA. It would not only give drivers a bigger voice/platform on which to approach the MSA for issues such as safety and rules, but also allow the MSA a far better way of communicating with drivers directly rather than having to rely on clubs or series.
3. Would you prefer communication via a. website b. newsletter c. both
A + Email. No need for snail mail these days.
4. Would you be prepared to pay a small admin fee on membership?
Yes indeed. £15 per year?
5. What concerns you most about karting as a driver?
Driving standards are appauling. This is supposed to be a non contact sport and if anthing I see it being actively encouraged despite the MSA's efforts. The reason a lot of kids dont get into it is because their parents come along a watch a race and see behaviour worse than their kids experience in the playground.
6. Any other business?
Im sure others can think of some.
