You need to think about the concepts behind stub axles. The adjustments wou can make with trackrod settings will not alter all the posible differences between each make of stub axle.

Having said that, they MAY be interchangeble between karts but I would not bank on that!

So.... jsust some of the differences are as follows:-

* Different height where the stub axle (axle pin) joins the king-pin tube...i.e., substantially different ride height
* Different angle that the stub (axle pin) meets the king-pin-tube
* Different thickness/stiffness of the stub axle (axle-pin) and stub-axle-to-king-pin-tube join
* Different angle made between the stub axle (axle pin) and the 'drag link'

Those are just some of the differences that the adjustment of the track rods won't alter.

I suspect that you don't have a full grasp (neither do I!) of all the implications of the design of stub axles. You might consider exploring the effects by making some 'dummies' of stub axles out of Mecano (not much of that about the place, today) or Lego. Failing that, try drawing two stub axles seperately, then compare all the things which differ about your two drawings, even minutely, between the two of them.

Basically, stubs are BL**DY complex!

Personally, I think you'd be BONKERS to think you might make a better guess at the RIGHT stub axle for your kart than did the original manufacturer. However, the only real answer is to test, test and test again! It's going to get expensive, though.,....
