....because the threaded hole in the tank is 'blind', when the water gets in it, it can't get out and corrodes the bolt.

The result is a handle that just spins when you try and undo it because it strips the plastic.

Don't do it up too tight and use a generous dab of Coppaslip.

To prevent it coming loose, just use a cable tie around the handle and around the frame.
