never driven the old pylon but i know exactly the old layout there(QOT'ers lad pointed it out to me)and it probably would be better AND present another overtaking opportunity wheras the pylon we have now doesnt present much of an overtaking opportunity(unless your brave and the other driver makes an error).
in the new pylon layouts defence though,whilst its a must (at present)to gauge the hell out of your kart to get a good lap time and keep pace with others doing it,thats the easy part really,its having the kart nice and stable for that right thats tricky to get just right and does demand a fair amount of concentration
to make the current pylon into a proper overtaking place id personally want to extend the section of track bfore the right into a little more of a straight so that it might be less risky and give a bit more time for the driver to nip up the inside.in reality though,there really isnt enough space to do that
thats my opinion anyway.i cracked my chassis on that big kerb trying desperately to keep up with caudle,ruggles and forsdyk! :)
