I know this is not about a pair of boots but it is about a sparco product and my problems might help you. In March we purchased an x light suit from KKC quite expensive about £300 and it lasted 3 race days not practise just race so less than 100 laps and the rib protector we use which is a bumper had worn through the elasticated area at the back. I called KKC about the problem and they at first were very helpful and assured me sparco would replace foc. They then tested the suit and said it was because I had a battery box on the back of the seat and were not prepared to change it we did have a seat mounted battery but the mount broke and we had removed it so when we used this suit we had the battery mounted on the frame, at this point after giving me the run around KKC maneouvered themselves out of the deal and put me in contact with the sparco rep. He explained to me that the suit was not designed to be used with bolts in the seat I did point out that seats do tend to be held in the kart by using bolts he was very helpful and came to shennington rotax S1 last weekend of august some 5 months after the purchase with a loan suit so the x light could be repaired he explained the x light is only a light duty suit and was not really designed for use with a hard rib protector he then left us with the loan suit and assured me that it was a hard wearing suit it is better it lasted three full race weekends before it also had holes and I am still waiting for the x light back some seven months later. And just as a comparison for quality and hard wearing we have had one gillard suit used for two years no holes and with battery box on seat and hard rib protector. So no more sparco for us.
