Your contract is with the seller - not the manufacturer despite what they might claim.

If you bought "Kart Boots" they should be fit for that purpose. They clearly were not!

Write and say that you require a full refund as the boots are not of merchantable quality as required by the sale of goods act. Include a time limit of 14 days to settle

If they do not settle then lodge a claim in the small claims court. Doesn't cost a lot and you get the fees back. No need for solicitor you represent yourself. My guess is they will settle pretty quick when a summons arrives on the mat!
