Rib protectors are compulsary for kids in France and 'Homolagated' kneck braces for everyone. Which means my lad has to wear a foam brace but is banned from using the Leatts brace he races with in the UK, simply because the relevent bribe has not been paid for a sticker.
Stupid F...ing French bureacracy.

But I have to say that when you see a Cadet sat in a kart and the only skin you can see is the back of the kneck. You have to wonder why, perhaps the most vulnerable area of the body after the brain remains the only area without any protection.
