We have been lookin' at using a caravan in the same way, but I was not aware the front window was the best entrance for the kart, I was considering what did I have to remove off the kart to get it in through the door, vertically and sideways, so the idea makes progress.......
The remaining question is, how many adults does it take to load and unload the kart, I could believe this operation is the cause of your damp in the first place, as the kart will probably come to rest on the cill of the window while passing through?
I'm interested to hear of any other pointers as wifey and daughter want to come to the meetings everybody would be much happier if we could all enjoy together.
Al.
