buzzinrussell, you transport your kart the same way as me!! I thought I was the only one.
As far as your problem goes it's quite lenthy, you will probably end up replacing all the front seats as getting it out without damage is nigh on impossible. If your no good with tools best not to bother, start saving for a better van.
I have exactly the same problem as you but also old damp damage in other places, I am looking to change my van in the new year, nothing to expensive but just in better condition.
If your finances don't allow, just put up with it until they do.
