MSA 2009 approved is so misleading - I thought it meant they had been approved in 2009 for the future. What does that even mean??!!

They knew exactly what they were doing in my opinion.

"The helmets listed in the karting section were listed as “MSA 2009 Approved” which is what we had been advised of by the MSA. At no time did we state that they would be approved for 2010 as the MSA tell us they cannot confirm regulations or changes until the end of each year. If you have information that makes you feel the description was misleading then please send it on to us and we will look in to it further. The current AGV Stealth Helmets listed are approved for motorcycle use on UK roads and they are of a different approval type.

We can only supply the information that we have to hand from various authorities which was listed in the description.

Unfortunately we only found out ourselves a few months ago and as soon as we discovered that the helmet was not approved for 2010 we took it off the site."

Not going to name and shame just yet (I'm a journalist by profession so it's killing me) but I'll give them another chance to sort it out.
Prepared to go to Trading Standards with this one.
