Yes, I know what you mean, the frustrating thing is that here, the cheating is so widespread, that even if you do manage to win cleanly you don't get any real credit because the view from others is you must just be better at cheating. Whether that be fuel additive, tyre treatment or engine mods. I honestly don't think I have ever heard any real praise for another driver, if you're quick your cheating.
The trouble is it tends to be the so called professionals who are the worst. I see a lot of other peoples engines for servicing. I often have to condemn parts that have been tampered with, the worst/most blatant of these come from a large Karting importer in Lyon. Everyone knows it, yet the French Federation have just appointed them one of 7 Honda sealing agents for next year. So now they can cheat with impunity, simply because they paid the most money.
Makes me think about stopping altogether or switching to bikes, where at least the fear of hurting yourself means only the best can consistently find the limit without going over, so engines have a little less importance.
