I did notice on one site (not Dunlop) that on certain motorsport slicks it stated that the direction of rotation should be followed for the powered axle, but the other way for the non-powered. I can see some logic on this for a rear wheel drive car, where the fronts provide most of the retardation. Clearly not the same for a kart with no front brakes though...
