If you can measure the resistance of the sensor it should be round about 47k.

If it is very low, then the Alfano will assume the temperature is too high.

How many leads are there on the sensor that you have ordered?

If there are two and a screen, I would assume that you would just use the two wires and not the screen.

The wires are not usually directional or polarised.

Hold one lead on the outside of the Alfano connector and touch the other lead to the centre pin...what does it read?
