Dave it could work in favour of TKM. From this forum it seems that a lot of people are fed up with the grease situation in Rotax and now they could just sell their engine, buy a TKM engine but keep their chassis with just some minor adjustments.
As far as migrating to easykart goes (and I think that is a rally great series) that could also work the other way as they will be able to bolt on a TKM engine and go club racing without the cost of an extra chassis.
Not having to sell your CIK chassis could make it an easier decision for people to move into TKM.
