Tyre tongs & a bead breaker all day long , when I was club racing I was on a very tight budget, but it was the best Ł100 I spent on kit , they will last you many years & the tongs have a good re-sale value, I got Ł50 for my tongs on ebay,

PS - they prevent you having bruised/cut knuckles , swearing your head off , & sweating your nuts off.
