how long does it take for the tyres to cool back down to the state of the original tyre poundage?

we went out on 20psi, came in and they were 22psi tmins after the race. half an hour later they were still 22psi thats 40 mins after the race? you would think that they would have stabalized by then.

so i let out some more air down to 20psi taking the origional poundage down to 18psi. then the same reading when he came in 22psi. agin let out the air back down to 20psi. taking the origional poundage to 16psi. at which they stabalised.

the only factor being the rise in the day time temp.
