Hi archiebald,
We raced a TKM extreme in the OEKC in 2007 and 2008 and I can say it was the most fun we have had in ages! Yes you would be placed in with the MAX's etc but last year in a 1992 ARC we were running 4th overall at Whilton. To be honest its best to use the TKM for fun as you have to make more fuel stops than the rotax and stuff. Also if you run the engine a little rich and stick to a maz RPM of 14,000 the engine will be fine. We ran a season of 4.5hr endurances and only changed a piston halfway through the season.
If you end up going to a race let me know, I may bring ours down for a bit of fun.
I can thoroughly recommend the OEKC.....great bunch of people and great racing.
