We do our cadet exhausts in caustic soda - very easy. Just get a big plastic tub that will take the exhaust at the bottom. Pour in pack of caustic soda, add water asnd mix with a stick - drop in exhaust and leave for a day or two. The water will go a very murky brown as the gunk comes out. Take out exhaust 9wearing rubber gloves and rinse with clean water - under a garden tap is ideal.
