who helped out yesterday to allow the Bank Holiday Monday meeting to go ahead at Rowrah.

Special thanks to the guys who turned out in filthy weather to wield shovels and brushes to reroute some of the running water which allowed the track to drain quickly and the meeting to progress.

I thought the marshalls were awesome considering the conditions over the two days of racing and they managed to keep a sense of humour throughout.

A massive well done to Frag, who manned a shovel on Monday morning and gave me something to giggle about by reminding me of the Four Yorkshiremen Python sketch. Quote: "Eeh, lad. I've raced in worse than this when I were a lad."

Finally, to the WTP's - thanks for an excellent Championship weekend. Sorry I missed the Monday presentation, but I was in a protest at the time. Considering the conditions, you all did splendidly, but congratulations to Matthew Graham on wrapping up the title. Now for the hat-trick, eh?
