I am pretty sure Talko want to keep the current Tkm class with harder tyres (relatively). They are only trying to make the class very slightly quicker. Currently on average the Minimax is around 0.5 to 0.8s per lap quicker than a Junior TKM a factor that may make TKM slightly less attractive to youngsters coming from cadet. By slightly Tweeking the Tyre compound but still maintaining the loose feel of TKM this will surely incourage more youngsters to consider TKM as an option. Thus pushing the seniors slightly faster also. I Reckon the CIK Kart will be less favourable to start with as is generally designed about softer tyres. IT may even need a 30mm Axle in it to work well in TKM ! Now there's a thought !
