Charlie, the normal valves can get ripped out by somebodys bumper going inside your wheel, this also happens to the bead retainers with the large knurled head. use flush bead retainers if you use them. I've NEVER had a valve ripped out yet but have had 3 sets of bead retainers ripped off !
