There is a meeting at the MSA today to consider the proposals.
They are only looking at junior drivers and more likely just at cadets with any new helmets to be a recommendation from 01.01.10 and compulsory from 01.01.11
There is a bit in the latest karting magazine in the `noteworthy' section where arai explain the thinking behind the proposals.
The new helmets have been designed specifically to fit children's heads as opposed to just being a small size of an aduklt design. They will have changeable padding to allow for growth.
the downside is that the arai model will cost Ł367.02 inc VAT which seems more than the excellent SK5.
