H (bri Rob,
what you are talking about is a two-pack expanding plastic foam (brown in colour). It can be bought from many boat yards or glassfibre stockists. it is used in the making of seat inserts for race cars, however i am not sure if it would be suitable for karting. Tillet do sheets of foam rubber just for packing seats. My dad just went down to our local market and bought some cheap foam rubber for my seat!!!
