I'm afraid you're going to have to do a bit of testing.

Firstly, it depends which restrictor your engine likes best.

Secondly, the extra weight (and the positioning of it) may suit your chassis and/or driving style.

You may find that the optimum is going straight to the purple and adding more weight because the engine runs sweeter and that the positioning of the lead gives you a more driveable kart.

More weight can definately be a benefit in the wet so again the optimum condition may be one restrictor/weight combination for the dry and another for the wet.
