The DMAX karts are MiniMax, set up for reliability and not ultimate speed. They are about 4 seconds a lap quicker than the prokarts on the MK track (65 seconds compared to 69).

Phone them to check, but I would think that just showing them your MSA licence and telling them what you have raced would satisfy them as an evaluation. They just want to satisfy themselves that you have some experience and are not going to spin out or hit a barrier at every corner.
