yes i know, Ł65 is a lot to pay for something that breaks if you look at it.
i did some reshearch in to the sensors and found a company who would make them for me to my spec for Ł25, then i looked a little further and found the ones from airworld uk for Ł12.
theres actually a few firms who supply them.
they all do the same job, they are just a k type sensor, most are fast response and for our game are more than adequate.

bought 3 myself from aim this year alone so had to do something, hopefully someone out there will benefit from this post.
