It seems to vary from scrutineer to scrutineer.
By the letter of the book. theclutch has to engage and the kart has to move at 3000 rpm.

Now some scruts are saying you cant use grease at all. and in euro max there is now a new seal for the rollerbearing so that no grease at all can get out if you overload the bearing with grease. and if any if any is found at all found after the race in the drum area your thrown out.

So its a mess at the momment still. At whilton they seem to be making up their own rules and going against the ABKC/JAG.

All the good scruts do the 3000 rpm test. before or after the race. Its quick and simple. and to the rules.

Grease is so out of date now anyway lol! everyones moved on from that method. Thats why the only fair method is the 3000 rpm rule.
