I will come and support the TKM class at Rye at some point this year. Interestingly we have seen a couple of guys migrate from Rotax to TKM at Clay and they are loving it.
My list of excuses for not attending this weekend:
No mechanic/assistant
It would have been number 5 of 6 weekends at a track.
The girlfriend is currently "between jobs" so money is tight.
I have an MSc assignment due in soon.
My kart is in Somerset and I work and stay in Cambridgeshire during the week which means towing the trailer a ridiculous amount of miles.
Additionally, I only see the girlfriend at weekends. She would have had to have travelled to Rye House from Somerset on public transport on Friday and return on Sunday evening just to see me at a rather damp track!
It was one week before our big meeting at Clay.
My next weekend off is at the end of July.
I was going to have to camp in my little tent.
I'm sure I can think of a few other things but rest assured, I will be there this season. Sadly, I'm racing elsewhere on the weekend of the London Cup but if my plans change then I'll be there for that too.
