Don't worry too much about the other wiring for now, first you need a decent spark, disconnect the black wire I mentioned from the coil,(This is the coil to earth cut out wire)if you like you can remove the 4 6mm screws from the flywheel casing and take the wire off from the coil itself, then see if you have a decent spark, you don't need all the other wires for the engine to run....

I usually remove the filter and put a small capfull of petrol down the hole, if it then fires up for a couple of seconds you know that everythings OK, except for the fuel system that is.
