I have seen something on this in the past.

By installing a window and a bed in a van, it becomes officially a camper van. This can be done by putting a cheap car sun roof in the wall of the van and putting an air bed in the back.

This was a method used by surfers wanting cheap insurance on vans used to go down to cornwall for the weekend.
