check your local tracks and find out what formulas they race there. TKM is probably the cheapest formula in karting, but that DOESN'T mean it's cheap, just cheaper thn the rest. All depends on your budget what formula you start off in. Go along to few different tracks and have look and ask LOTS of questions before you start even thinking about buying your first kart. Its a great sport and you'll get addicted very quickly, hope tht helped.
