That's because it isn't loud.

I hope this isn't going to turn into a 'let's all wear earplugs' for 'elf and safity' thread.

I've listen to loud music still and was a DJ for years with heavy rock music and I can still hear a clock tick on a wall.

You've got a duff ear 'ole that's all.

Just make sure that's the side you use to listen to 'er indoors :)

Can you imagine a meeting with everyone wearing earplugs?

I SAID CAN YOU IMAG...... don't bother...
