On the thursday parctice i think one person got down to a high 46 sec lap on a 47 gearing which was very good when you consider the gearing.

With the 47 sprocket with me just on the weight limit, the max revs i was hitting was around 10100 maybe 10200 at a push.

So yes i think the gearing is wrong because if i were to put a larger sprocket on the kart would be faster out the corners and it still would be fine down the straight (probably wouldn't hit the restrictor even with a bigger sprocket)
