The kerb heights weren't changed. But to be honest it hasn't affected how much kerb hopping goes on (if anything, i think it's less now as the higher cornering speeds make the kerbs more unsettling when you hit them).

The kerb riding round Rowrah wasn't too bad anyway with the only real parts being the top chicane and the exit of the 2nd to last bend but even then, if you can drive through the top chicane without having to use the kerb to straighten it out more then it's quicker. I didn't hit any kerbs on the lap I took the Formula Blue record.
