I'd advise getting out on the track on a quiet weekday for the first one or two times - take him out of school for a day ;-). I was stupid enough to send my boy out for the first time on a very busy Saturday (see my first post) and we very nearly never went back. it was only the friendly advice of the folks on this forum that convinced us to give it another go. We've never looked back.
You'll be amazed how quickly they build us speed.
