Yes, that was indeed the situation. At a Super 1 DD2 round in 2007 (in which I was making a one-off appearance) I ran pump fuel instead of the control fuel, basically cuz the team I was running for hadn't ordered any and I couldn't afford to pay i think it was Ł100 for 10 litres of fuel on the day!!!! I apologised and did offer to the organisers to remove me from the results, which they didn't do.

I made a mistake, I Should've gone to the organisers at the meeting and come up with some kind of solution, but at 17 years old, I cocked up. It wasn't malicious, I wasn't running any kind of fuel treatment or anything like that, I just wanted to be out on track and couldn't afford the fuel!!
