Wow, looks like these guys are giving you a hard time.
Generally you can't repair kart tyres, or atleast people don't bother, you could give it a go I guess but its up to you.
I too don't think tyres are cheap, yeah in comparison to other they may be cheap, but I still find it hard on the pocket.
Your options: Brand New Set: £120 Brand New Tyre: £30ish from internet Second Hand Knackered _SET_: £FREE-10 Decent Second Hand Set (20-40laps): £10-30
OR of course you could repair it. If I was you, i'd go buy another second hand set, the tyres you've got now are probably past there time and it makes it harder for you as a driver to learn, go find some big awning on at a meeting and ask if theyve got second hand tyres for sale, whats "second hand" to them is as good as new to you and I, and will cost you jack $hit. I mean its perfectly possible to win on tyres a single meeting old, so think how much that will help you in terms of keeping your kart stable and helping you develop your lines, as well as gain a realistic idea of how you would fair against others.
