if your pads have worn down that much i would replace them with a new set,but don't throw away the old set. remove the rest of pad from the metal,you can then use them for shims when your next set wears down to about 4/5mm, this will stop the pistons from pushing out to far and sticking on,this is what i do and i have no hassle with my otk system.
