At Rissington this last weekend there was a huge reduction in first corner incidents and this was due to the approach speed to the start line being strictly enforced.

The drivers were told quite plainly that they were to hold the pace and only accelerate when they passed a cone placed about 15 metres before the start. If the COC felt the approach was too fast he sent them round again and if it was to happen again they would be put to the back. It appeared to work this time.
