Is a softer chassis more suited to a lighter driver ?

With smaller and sometimes lighter drivers coming up from Cadets into both Minimax and KF3 and often having to carry a fair amount of lead, would they be more suited to the softer version (if one is available) of the range of popular chassis ?

Having rigorously tested chassis that are made of "standard" material, wether 30mm or 32mm, and carrying circa 16kgs of ballast, no matter what we do we cannot get the standard material chassis to release !
