you stated:- ..." Ali rims retain the heat lot more than mags. Ive tested in many many times. As Rafa Benitez says....its fact! Not mind games Lol."
Be careful you are not playing mind games on yourself here. 1) Magnesium has a lower coeficient of heat transfer than Aluminium. ( ie , it will dissipate heat slower than Ali') 2) the vast majority of heat loss from a tyre is through the tyre surface .... because it is the hottest and has the largest area in contact with the air. 3)How do you measure the ammount of heat retained by the rim ? .. Wheel temp measurements wont help, the Mag would measure at lower temp because its transferring less heat ??
4 ) If there were real benefits to either extracting more heat from the rims or retaining heat, then why does no one use finned rimms, cooling ducts, or wheel covers (as in F1) to "manage " the heat transferr ?? ...rather than rely on the marginal thermal tranferr difference between ali and mag ? Copper rims would really pull the heat out !!
