I have just purchased a mounting bracket for an AMB Transponder from HS Sports. When ordering I was told that the bracket cost Ł6 plus VAT, that postage would be ‘a couple of pounds’ and there would be a 2.5% credit card charge. The bracket has just arrived with the invoice: - Bracket Ł6 POSTAGE AND PACKING a whopping Ł6.38 credit card charge 31p VATŁ1.91 Total Ł14.60. I have just phoned them to question the postage costs and was told ‘we use a courier’.
The cost of postage by good old Royal Mail would have been about 80p.
Had HS Sports charged Ł2 postage the total bill would have been Ł9.43 which is what I expected.
I have just checked the price of THE SAME ITEN on eBay Ł5.95 POSTAGE IS FREE.
Would I purchase anything from HS Sport again like heck!
