The concept of 125 Open SC Challenge is get as many differnt kinds of 125 karts out at club level as possible and driven by guys of all ages. If we can reinvigorate the 125 open class on S/C then so much the better.There is lots of very good Open outfits our there which can be bought for not a huge amount of money and an Open kart is not expensive to run either.
We believe very strongly that club racing should be about bums in seats without the silly rule changes that have made drivers spend money for no sensible reason. Club racing is about having fun. National Champiosnhips may be a very different thing altogether but club racing should be inclusive not exclusive. The regulations for this series will allow Short Circuit bodywork, Long Circuit bodywork or just plain good old front, side and rear bumpers which must of course be to MSA regs. So for instance if you have an F1 chassis well you can now race it OK you dont need crash tested bodywork just side bars or LC Bodywork. Five and six inch tyres can be used. Its an Open class so all kinds of 125 karts can compete from state of the art modern stuff to the older British Style chassis like F1`s etc.
