maxdad, maybe there's (another) hole in my knowledge here but are you confusing 'softness' with stiffness? It was my understanding that the stiffer the wheel (regardless of compostion) the less grip they would allow.

I agree, the Douglas alloy is an excellent wheel at this time of year. We have used these in combination (front/rear) with the full mags many times to get the handling required.
