I broke two ribs on two occasions in 2007, both racing in DD2, and both times raced Long Circuit a week later. At both Long Circuit races, although you dont tend to get thrown around in the seat anywhere near as much as at Short Circuit, I was in absolute agony, consoling myself only in that I had a full month off immediately after.

Why?? It was a nat champs. Would I do it again? Probably. But I would agree with everyone else, unless it is a very important meeting, DO NOT RACE WITH BROKEN / CRACKED RIBS!!!
