Once again you pick up on one small point of what is said and ignore what's actually relevant.

There is a fundamental difference between most sporting rule breaking and most technical rule breaking, it's called premeditation.

Big boring your engine is a premeditated cheat. No grey area, you get caught and you're guilty.

Jumping the odd curb, especially if everyone else is taking the same line is not the same thing. Short cutting a bus stop is clearly cut and dry cheating.

Just as doing 31mph in a 30 is technically speeding, it is not the same as doing 60mph in a 30. Even in the eyes of the law now!

Of course I take your 'French' point and it is valid. I can certainly see a scenario where my lad would be penalised for jumping a curb, but little 'Pierre' would not be. However that is a completely different issue. I don't believe anyone has made accusations of inconsistent rulings against some competitors.
