Using Vic's instructions, carefully drill out the potting compound from around the old battery.

The tags at each end of the battery, attach to two post on the pcb.

Don't drill outside of Vic's measurement and take it very slowly when you are trying to find the posts.

A sharpened screwdriver can be useful to dig out the delicate bits.

If you are a bit wary of getting too near the pcb, you can cut the tags and solder the new battery to the old tags instead of the posts.

DON'T FORGET!!!!!! to mark the positive end of the tag, as you won't be very pleased with yourself if you re-pot it and its ar$e about face!

The transponder has a peculiar charging and monitoring system so it may be worth while 'flashing'up the new battery before you fit it, so that it has a small charge in it.

It may be necessary to give it a few charge and discharge cycles before you get your full 'flashes' back.

I know Vic said not to use a glue gun but I did, i just did it gradually.

I prefered this to epoxy, just in case I had to take it out again.

Just make sure it is all covered to keep the moisture out.

MDS batteries can make you up a three battery pack and if you ask them to look under my company info which is Anita, Henry has given the triple pack a part number to make it easy to make up.

It cost me under a tenner to do mine.
