Vardymyr......

Why do people DO this? You buy a kart and THEN ask us what to do!

That's BACKWARD!

We all advise EXACTLY the reverse!

1) Go to some race meeting
2) TALK to us
3) Think about what you can AFFORD to race
4) Ask some of us to HELP you buy a kart that WILL be suitable.

You CAN buy 2 strokes that will work well with that chassis but it won't be easy to race it in many classes.

Rotax Max engines are ALWAYS more than £250 unless they are a pile of CR*P.

Earlier 2 strokes are READILY available and simply wonderful. They come from a 'classes' of racing that has just 'died': Formula A and National. They were MAGNIFICENT ...... and you can buy them VERY cheaply ..... BUT......... they need a LOT of care and they need quite a bit of knowledge of HOW to set them up if they are not to 'flood' or EXPLODE!!!!

As you have already bought a chassis without asking us, your best bet will be to look for someone selling an air or water cooled 100cc motor, possibly, even from EBAY (much of the stuff there is a pile of junk but just SOME of the motors will be good!)

How you start, run maintain such a motor depends ON the motor. When you have found something, come back to us and we'll try an advise you better. However, althoug you MAY find somewhere to race such a combination, it's not a HUGE chance! Of course, you can always move back to Rotax on that chassis but it WILL mean buying a Rotax Max between £600 and £1500.

Before you ask, don't even THINK about fitting a clutch to a 100 National or FA!

This is the sort of thing you may find:-

Please note, it will need a PROPER carb, exhaust, radiator and water pump system as well. It wil probably make between £50 and £200 as it stands.

It's probably be cheaper overall to go for something like this:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GO-KART-100cc-VORTEX-KOSMIC_W0QQitemZ270291715264QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270291715264&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

You'll get the lot for the same sort of money.

A better bet still would be this sort of thing, It's a whole kart adn has a class ready to race in.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TKM-Extreme-kart-115cc_W0QQitemZ260306366499QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260306366499&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

********

Motorcycle engines are not really an option, They are slow, heavy and usually, pretty nasty things. The only class where we DO use them is in gearbox classes and you simply don't want to THINK about those until you have driven a proper 100cc class.

Good luck

Ian
